I am writing to introduce myself to you. I have now completed my first week in school and I want to let you know how proud I am to be the new head teacher at Cross Flatts Park Primary.
I have had a busy week beginning by meeting the whole staff at our training day, and I am now meeting the teachers and support staff individually over the next two weeks.
This term my main priority is to get to know the school community and to learn about the school systems and procedures. Cross Flatts is a lovely school with many strengths which include an excellent staff team and delightfully friendly and welcoming pupils. I believe that my job is to help the staff to maintain those strengths while finding ways to improve further where we feel we need to in order to enable your children to meet their full potential.
To help me with this task, I would be very grateful if you could find a moment to write down your views and return the survey (please follow link). If you would rather speak to me in person, my door is always open. You can also contact me by phone at any time.
Last week Miss Phillips went off on an extended holiday. The staff and I joined together on our training day to wish her a wonderful time and a long and fruitful retirement. I’m sure you will agree she deserves it.
I look forward to a long and happy time at Cross Flatts Park Primary.
